50 Shades of Gray baby quilt

Well, maybe not 50 Shades of Gray but ..........

When my daughter Diana told me she had painted her nursery gray I was certainly taken aback - how was this Nanny supposed to know that this was the hottest color since the
50 Shades of Gray trilogy had burst onto the scene.
Anyways, I wanted to make a nice quilt for Gemma's room.  I had a freebie small jelly roll
from an online store, and I used a nice pink from my stash for the cornerstones,
and a quick trip to Walmart found a very dark grey for sashing, and a border with
two shades of gray - there was also a smattering of gray in the jelly roll.
The pink certainly softens the quilt !
No, I have not read the book and I am pretty sure it is NOT on my summer reading list!

  1. Ha, come on Janet, be daring!! I bought it when we went to Hawaii a couple of weeks ago...Tony thought his luck was in, except I was far too busy reading the book to want to do anything else!! Haha.

The quilt is so pretty. The pink just pops on it.

  2. I LOVE her dark grey room. Makes all the rest of the colors pop out. And its different from her sisters bright turquoise room :)

We love the quilt and its in her room right now :)
